For colleges and universities
At no cost to your college or university
We bring the employers, run the days and do the follow-up. Your team keeps control of who comes in, and keeps every relationship afterwards.
£0
in every year of a 3-year partnership
Funded by the new employers we introduce. If contributions fall short, OppO Futures carries the difference. Your college or university is never asked to fill a gap.
If you have funding routes of your own
The programme runs at no cost to your college or university, and that is the offer. Where an institution already has careers funding available, we are glad to use it to widen what students get: more employers in the room, more sessions, more activity around the three days. It is always optional, always agreed in advance, and never a condition of taking part.
What your institution receives
Everything, delivered
A Motivational Speaker Day
Injured veterans from The OppO Foundation, positioned mid-course where momentum is hardest to hold.
Two Careers Days
Programmed, timetabled experiences across four session slots. Students rotate between demonstrations, hands-on activity, one-hour breakout sessions and Q&A panels.
New employers, handed over
Employers you do not currently work with, introduced and handed over. The relationships stay with you.
Your existing employers, free
Employers you already work with take part with every benefit and are never charged.
Independent facilitation
We recruit, brief and manage every partner, timetable against your curriculum blocks and run the days. Your staff stay with your students.
A route into work
Live roles and apprenticeships in the room, an independent recruitment process, and no fees to any student, ever.
Profile
Photography and video across all three days for your own use, and a named place as the model extends.
Follow-up and evidence
An evidence pack within 30 days, fortnightly follow-up for three months, and destinations tracked at three and six months. You may verify the figures.
The Gatsby Benchmarks
All eight, stated plainly
The programme evidences or contributes to all eight Gatsby Benchmarks. Where it only contributes, we say so. Most careers activity is hard to evidence after the fact; this is built to produce that evidence as it runs. The Gatsby Benchmarks apply to schools and colleges. For universities, we agree the outcomes and evidence at the scoping session.
- 1. A stable programme
- A fixed, repeatable three-day structure with a defined follow-up period, designed to run annually.
- 2. Labour market information
- Employers present live vacancies, entry routes and salary expectations directly.
- 3. Each young person
- Anonymous questions, individual matching to roles, and engagement captured per student.
- 4. Curriculum to careers
- Employers bring their own equipment and explain it against what students already train on.
- 5. Meaningful encounters
- The core of the programme: sustained contact time across four session slots, not footfall past a table.
- 6. Workplaces
- Contributes rather than delivers, and we say so. Placements are converted through recruitment and follow-up.
- 7. Further and higher education
- Apprenticeship and technical training routes, presented by the organisations that run them.
- 8. Personal guidance
- Supports your guidance staff with live, named intelligence. It does not replace them.
Coming from a university?
You will likely start with a scoping session
Most universities begin there: we work out any additional funding routes with you, and the specific career requirements of your courses, then agree the format together.
Start with a scoping session →Safeguards
Funded by employers, controlled by you
Your institution is receiving a service funded by third parties who gain access to its students. Five controls make that safe.
You approve every approach
You see and can veto the employer list before anyone is confirmed.
Existing employers not commercialised
Employers you already work with take part free and are never approached for a contribution.
Consent before any data moves
Student details reach an employer only with recorded consent, under a data sharing agreement with your institution.
Your safeguarding policy
Every partner on site works under your safeguarding policy and a safeguarding schedule agreed in advance.
No fee to students, ever
No student is charged anything, at any point, in any form.
What we ask
A small commitment from your side
- The venue for three days, including breakout rooms, demonstration space and outdoor activity space
- Timetabled student attendance across the four session slots
- One named lead who can make decisions
- Sign-off on the employer approach list
- An agreed route for student consent
Not the right fit as it stands?
If you already run careers events, or need something different, we can scope a format with you instead.

Confirm interest by email
That is enough to begin, and nothing at that stage is a contract. We then agree dates, rooms, zones and session slots at a scoping session.
